The ROSE Scale-Up Study: Informing a Decision about Universal Postpartum Depression Prevention
This is a National Institutes of Health-funded R01 research study examining whether postpartum depression prevention should be provided to all pregnant people, or just those at elevated risk of postpartum depression. Counseling interventions during pregnancy have been found to prevent half of postpartum depression cases among high-risk moms. This n=2,320 randomized trial assesses effectiveness, cost-outcome, equity, and scalability of universal postpartum depression prevention in order to inform U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations.
