South Lyon East High School Career Fair - Spartan Public Engagment Map

through the South Lyon East High School Career Fair, 125 ninth- and tenth-grade students received information about the veterinary medicine field â€’ options available to them, schooling they may receive, different careers within the field, and what being a veterinarian or veterinary nurse entails. This open house serves the Metro-Detroit students who are beginning to decide what schools to apply for and what field to pursue. With the early exposure to veterinary medicine, these 9th and 10th graders are then able to set themselves up for success by volunteering at an animal shelter, taking more high school science and math classes, etc.
