Michigan sits in the Mississippi Flyway and Michigan Department of Natural Resources personnel work with Flyway representatives from other states and representatives of federal agencies to manage migratory waterfowl. These individuals set the parameters for annual waterfowl hunts. We provided data on mallard abundance and ecology in the Great Lakes region to assist in decision making.
