Africa Engagement Workshop
Students at Eastern and Sexton High Schools in the Lansing School District and MSU undergraduate and graduate students were engaged in learning about one of the countries in the MSU Alliance for African Partnership, engaging with visiting scholars from these African countries, learning about the country, people, government, etc. High school students identified a problem the country faces and proposed a solution. MSU students studied any aspect of the country they chose. High school students participated in the MSU Extension World Food Prize Michigan Youth Institute. They were first students to participate from the Lansing School District.
