Youth Sport and Sustainable Development
Sport-based life skills interventions offer compelling pathways to enhancing youth agency, psychosocial development, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Evidence shows the benefits of sport programs to youth empowerment, promoting health and well-being, and various youth development outcomes. Working with a team of researchers from MSU and three African universities, hosted a symposium at MSU on Youth Sport and Sustainable Development. The goal was to share findings from a project on Enhancing Youth Agency and Entrepreneurial Mindsets through Sport-Based Life Skills Programs. Participants were university experts, community partners, and young practitioners and entrepreneurs from the African partner universities, Lansing, and the Dominican Republic.
