MiCorps: the Michigan Clean Water Corps
Directed this statewide volunteer lake and stream monitoring program. Goals include collecting vital water quality data, educating the public on freshwater ecology and associated issues, and building a cadre of Michigan residents that are personally involved with these issues. Project includes training in data collection, interpretation, and application; data management, compilation and reporting; issuance and management of grants to support these efforts; and development of educational materials and programs to support these volunteers.
