Retail and Hospitality Historical Preservation Design in Conjunction with Albion Reinvestment Corp

Two projects were conducted over the course of Spring 2021 semester for IDES 352. Projects were proposed renovations of a mercantile space and a cafe/restaurant in downtown Albion. Class worked in conjunction with Albion Reinvestment Corporation, a non profit organization focused on bettering the community and city of Albion, as well as historical preservation specialist. The proposed designs were for existing vacant buildings that are on the National Register of Historic Spaces. Proposed spaces were universally designed for all members of community and visitors to the area to utilize the space
