Regional grain production for brewing and distilling end use
I am leading several stakeholder engaged research efforts to evaluate best management practices for producing grains to be used locally and regionally for craft beverages. This includes variety and agronomy testing, including constant interaction with farmers, maltsters, brewers, distillers and others involved in the value chain. We also include on farm research trials, hold field days, host virtual events, communicate through written publications directed toward the industry, and present at industry led events.
