Emerging infectious diseases carried by mosquitoes and ticks
This activity broadly encompasses the problem of the appearance, emergence, expansion, and spread of mosquito and tick borne diseases regionally and within the state of Michigan; how to survey for these processes meaningfully; how to engage local public health workers in ways that enhance capacity for surveillance; and lastly to develop means of prevention and control that Michigan citizenry finds acceptable and appropriate.
