As a member of the Greater Flint Coronavirus Taskforce on Racial Inequities and the co-chair of the Faith Subcommittee, lead a team of researchers, faith leaders, policy influencers, and philanthropists to develop and maintain covid-19 outreach/public health education, covid-19 vaccine accessibility, civil engagement on social and economic policy and to develop/support community efforts to address racism as a public health crisis (policy). Much of this work supported my academic teaching and community practice. GOALS: Ensure equitable access, protection, and resource allocation for all residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prevent further racial disparities in COVID-19 prevention, testing, treatment/care, and outcomes. Promote equity in post-COVID recovery.
