The National Training, Technical Assistance, Evaluation & Information Center (NTAE) is funded by the USDA Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program (GusNIP). The GusNIP program focuses on reducing food insecurity, increasing fruit & vegetable intake among low-income SNAP households, and supporting local farm economies. As a project consultant, I provide technical assistance and facilitate communities of practice for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and local & regional sourcing in grocery among nutrition incentive practitioners and grantees. Local & regional sourcing goals are to benchmark and standardize the field as well as develop supporting tools and resources. DEI goals are to convene a grantee-practitioner advisory committee; develop culturally-based tools and resources; and provide DEI trainings to NTAE partners as well as the nutrition incentive community interacting with the NTAE. In addition to providing technical assistance and facilitating communities of practice, I have conducted multiple webinars, produced publications, and interviewed nutrition incentive practitioners.
