"My Future Matters" - Career Exploration
Audience: Class of 2026 for both Lansing School District & Waverly Community Schools.
Purpose: Career Exploration is one of the pillars of the federal GEAR UP Grant, and the work plan we follow.
Goals: Created a poll to discuss career specific parameters/considerations such as favorite subject in school, amount of education needed, skilled trades, salary comparisons vis-a-vis educational attainment, possible career satisfaction based on interests/values/skills etc. Discussion and student reflection followed with GEAR UP staff facilitating.
