The goal of the Opioid Prevention Education Network through Michigan State University (OPEN-MSU) is to build the capacity of local efforts to create or expand opioid prevention, intervention, and treatment opportunities for low-income communities. OPEN-MSU can support up to 20 VISTA members and 2 VISTA Leaders as they serve with sites on projects that support local efforts in Michigan communities to identify service gaps; improve communication within local collaboratives and organizations; and, build the capacity of these entities to address the opioid abuse crisis.
