College of Education Precollege Programs - TEA - Spartan Public Engagment Map

I oversee the College of Education's Precollege summer programs (Teacher Education Academy & Early Success Scholars). In TEA, we outreach to students attending urban high schools and have them participate in what has typically been a 2-week residential program. Students take courses (Examining Topics in Urban Education, College Readiness, etc.) with College of Education faculty and graduate students. TEA's objective is to recruit future teachers of Color to MSU's Teacher Preparation Program (specifically our Urban Educator Cohort Program).
