This is a long-term advisory group role in partnership with Wayne State University's Shiffman Medical Library. Shiffman serves as NLM National Outreach Library with the goal of disseminating trusted health care and scientific research information to populations who have lacked access to and are underrepresented in medical research and its benefits. The Advisory Committee has organized and presented numerous public programs and community conversations on varied health topics and emergent issues including privacy and medical information; clinical trials participation; personalized health care; organ donation; and mental health care and caregiving.
