UOE - Plant Research Laboratory Middle/High School Outreach

The MSU Detroit Center Director worked with faculty from the DOE-PRL to design and conduct focus groups to inform their efforts to develop pipeline projects to expose diverse middle and high school youth to research careers and STEM with a concentration on plant biology. External partners - Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) and Detroit Public Schools Community District STEM Programs also helped develop connections and provide youth engagement.
