Increase number of early care and education providers utilizing farm to education within Michigan, thus increasing access to local, health, affordable food for ECE settings

o Addressing early care and education farm to ECE efforts as a result of COVID-19 in 2021 and beyond, which includes knowledge product development and training and TA for procurement and food access

o Outputs:

o Identify baseline data (change in best practices) for farm to ECE and participation using GoNAPSACC self-assessment data of providers for each year, with a goal of increasing the number of providers involved in farm to ECE in target communities by 20% (goal of 30 providers participating at full implementation). Year four will continue with dissemination of mini-grants, support via training and technical assistance, quarterly meetings with statewide partners, and culminating report

o Monthly Newsletter—each month a Procurement Pilot newsletter is sent via email—a template is followed to ensure continuity of content

o Quarterly Lunch and Learn Sessions—save the dates have already been sent to hold the fourth Wednesday of the month for January, April, and July of 2021. Submitting content of sessions for credit in MIRegistry for providers when possible/applicable with follow up TA for procurement pilot participants.

o Culminating report including lessons learned, descriptive and qualitative data
