Sustainable Park Design Vision Plan - Spartan Public Engagment Map

The MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction has a long-standing partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) wherein design studios allow Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design students to gain practical experience in proposing and creating solutions for projects identified by the DNR. For fall 2021, the DNR proposed the site of the Old Zoo at Belle Isle State Park for consideration. The DNR and students in LA 447 and 817 courses received some stakeholder input on a vision and design elements for the area of Belle Isle.
