A goal of the program is to increase the number of early care and education providers utilizing farm to education within Michigan, thus increasing access to local, healthy, affordable food for ECE settings. Outputs of the program include Identifying baseline data (change in best practices) for farm to ECE and participation using GoNAPSACC self-assessment data of providers for each year, with a goal of increasing the number of providers involved in farm to ECE in target communities by 20%. Year four will continue with dissemination of mini-grants, support via training and technical assistance, quarterly meetings with statewide partners, and culminating report.
