Organic Farmer Training Program
The 2021 MSU Organic Farmer Training Program is a 50/50 mix of field and online learning at the MSU Student Organic Farm and field trips to sustainable farms throughout Michigan. Participants write a farm business plan and engage in hands-on activities, interactive peer-to-peer learning, and network with guest speakers and farm tour hosts throughout Michigan. The cohort includes aspiring and beginning farmers, farmworkers, homesteaders, and educational gardeners who represent Michigan's full diversity in race, gender, age and socioeconomic backgrounds.
