This project conducted 60 interviews with stakeholders in Michigan from the areas of public policy, agriculture, energy, affected communities, and experts in agriculture and entomology. It was part of a fall 2020 capstone project for the Science, Technology, Environment, and Public Policy undergraduate minor funded by the company's largest solar developer, NextEra Energy. Five paid students continued on with the project in the spring of 2021 and have gained valuable experience. We are working on developing a white paper to guide solar development on agricultural lands and pollinator habitat development, which will benefit Michigan stakeholders. Furthermore, we are working on a scholarly publication.
