Public Service Internship Program
The Department of Political Science's Public Service Internship Program facilitates student internships with state legislators, the Governor's Office, State Supreme Court and lower courts, local government offices, nonprofits, lobbying and public relations firms, law firms, advocacy organizations, among many others. While internships provide an opportunity for students to develop professionally, they also offer an opportunity for students to engage and serve their communities. Students are afforded numerous chances to reflect on their development during the internship; consider their goals and growth in competencies; evaluate their own identities and intersections, and how their experiences/ biases may affect how they might serve others representing different identities; and the role of internships in our society and economic systems.
