Plant Research Laboratory Outreach to Middle and High School Students

Faculty from the MSU-DOE Plant Research Laboratory worked with the director of the MSU Detroit Center to design and conduct focus groups to inform their efforts to develop pipeline projects to expose diverse middle and high school youth to research careers and STEM with a concentration on plant biology. External partners - Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) and Detroit Public Schools Community District STEM Programs also helped develop connections and provide youth engagement.
